Join us on the ridge of San Bruno Mountain for a joint hike and restoration planting event with amazing views of the Bay Area! Participants will help plant native host and nectar plants to provide nourishment and improve grassland habitat for the endangered Mission Blue and Callippe Silverspot butterflies. This will be our final butterfly planting day of the season.
At 10am the breathtaking 30-minute educational hike (steep and rigorous) to the ridge of the mountain will begin. Following the hike, volunteers will be able to plant wildflowers on the ridge and enjoy the spectacular scenery! There'll be a delicious picnic for all at the top as well.
Meet at 9:45am at the parking lot of Firth Memorial Park in Brisbane (corner of Sierra Point Rd and Glen Park Way, across the street from Firth Canyon). The group will be back at the parking lot around 1:30pm. map: https://goo.gl/maps/WTP3xQsgA9Q2
