Join us, students, and families as we create a dune botanical garden at the base of the San Bruno Mountain dunes on the campus of John F Kennedy Elementary in Daly City!

The dunes border the school playground and are already home to the endangered SF lessingia and other dune wildflowers; we'll be planting beach blue lupines, beach strawberries, seaside buckwheat, dune goldenrod, dune knotweed, sea pink, California suncup, beach sagewort,lizard tail, seaside daisy, and more!

Thank you to the San Mateo County Parks for the grant funding the creation of this garden! We are excited to partner with Education Outside on this project as well.
