This workshop is designed to give you some big concepts about drawing and some skills to assist you in accurate and precise drawing from nature.
Our goal with botanical illustration is “to show” or to reveal the correct taxonomy of a plant with confidence and ease. In this workshop, we will examine the power of a personal drawn line that is unique to each person. We will tackle some drawing activities using dried plant matter. We will pair observation skills with our passion for plants.
We will work together for an hour and a half, break for lunch, then work on drawing a San Bruno Mountain native plant from the nursery.
Please bring a magnifying glass if you have one. Other supplies will be provided.
By request of workshop instructor:
Adults only.
Please bring and wear a mask, as well as proof of vaccination.
