Join a guided interpretive walk of the ancient San Bruno Mountain Dunes! We’ll see plenty of native flowers blooming, learn the story of these unique once-coastal, now-inland sand dunes, and look for the beautiful California pipeline swallowtail butterflies.
We will also remove ice plant and other invasive plants to benefit the endangered San Francisco Lessingia wildflower (also in bloom now!) and other special dune flora like the rare San Francisco spineflower.
We will meet at Hillside Park in Daly City and hike up to the dunes from there (very close-by).
Family-friendly, all ages welcome!
