Help San Bruno Mountain Watch uncover the ruins of the abandoned San Bruno Mountain Botanical Garden at San Bruno Mountain State & County Park! Please RSVP below!

We will be removing weeds and brush at the project site to make way for the garden to be re-created and need many helping hands. The meeting location will be the second parking lot on Radio Road near the park entrance (555 Guadalupe Canyon Parkway, Brisbane, CA 94005). Turn right at the stop sign just past the kiosk and follow the road under the parkway.

The original San Bruno Mountain Botanical Garden was created in the late 1990's by a past organization known as the Friends of San Bruno Mountain. Two decades later, few remnants of the garden remain.

The goal is not to return the garden to its exact previous layout but to collaboratively create a new garden that helps people connect with the unique native flora of San Bruno Mountain.

San Bruno Mountain Watch’s efforts to bring back the garden were chosen as the 2019-2021 President’s Project of the California Garden Clubs, Inc. This statewide federation of gardeners is fundraising on our behalf in support of this effort. Site preparation will take place over the following year leading up to the planting of the site beginning in November 2020.
